On Thursday, 6th July, a few of our London team gathered at Battersea Park to participate in the highly anticipated J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. This renowned event, known as the world's largest corporate running event, brought together teams from various companies for a 5.6-kilometer race aimed at promoting fitness, camaraderie, and giving back to the community. By taking part, our London team in turn were supporting the main beneficiary, Centrepoint, an organisation dedicated to providing homeless young people with a brighter future.
Centre Point, the chosen beneficiary of the event, is a prominent charity in that offers shelter, education, and opportunities for young people who find themselves without a stable home. The organisation's comprehensive approach aims to address the immediate needs of homeless youth while empowering them with essential life skills, education, and employment prospects. Centrepoint provides housing and support for young people regionally in London, Manchester, Yorkshire and the North East and through partnerships all over the UK.
Our team's efforts and dedication paid off as they crossed the finish line with an impressive average finish time of 29.03 minutes. Their performance earned them a commendable Global Rank of 178 out of 4,653 participating companies and achieving a Local Rank of 102 out of 710 - a testament to their commitment and perseverance during the race. After completing the race, they to the Pear Tree Café for food and drinks to celebrate.
