Job Description

My client, a Series B DevOps scale-up, specialising within the configuration of business applications and disrupting the technology world, is seeking a Customer Engineer to join their team.

 

In terms of salary and OTE, this will be market leading. It is a fully remote position, however you will need to be based in the East Coast.

 

Company overview: Providing both an Open Source and an Enterprise SaaS products, my client enables business systems and IT professionals to manage their Systems' configuration holistically and efficiently.

 

What you'll do:

  • Lead the technical relationship with the customer, explain the value of the product based on customer requirements, train users to use the product, be the focal point for questions and issues, troubleshoot scenarios with the customer and serve as trusted advisor.
  • Develop technical expertise across my client's product and various business applications (Salesforce, NetSuite) to be able to understand customer requirements and everyday challenges.
  • Drive activities, both internally and with the customer in order to streamline growing usage of the product and value the customer is getting out of the product.
  • Communicate feedback on customer perspective, use cases and requirements internally to product and engineering.

 

Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of technical customer facing roles.
  • Must have experience working on complicated technical products.
  • Experience working with technical teams on the customer side (developers, technical IT teams, etc).
  • Coding / Scripting experience, comfortable with command line and source control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience interacting with Product/Engineering teams.

 

Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will come from a technical/development background (5+ years) and worked in a customer facing Sales Engineering role for the past 2/3+ years. This role will be focused on both Pre-sales and Post-sales. Start-up and/or Scale-up experience would be preferred.
