Job Description

We are working with a Established payments fintech who've experienced significant growth in the last 4 years and they are looking for a seasoned compliance professional with a passion for payments and a knack for navigating high-risk sectors like iGaming or Crypto.

They are looking for a dynamic Head of Compliance to join their team to help establish and develop effective onboarding and AML systems and controls. You'll work very closely with the commercial teams to enable the efficient onboarding of corporate clients.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Oversight: Lead and develop the corporate onboarding compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks associated with onboarding clients in high-risk sectors, including igaming and cryptocurrency.
  • Policy Development: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to streamline corporate onboarding processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external regulators to ensure seamless onboarding while maintaining compliance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding compliance programs, driving continuous improvements and staying ahead of industry changes.

Requirements

  • Min 10 years experience in Compliance within the regulated financial industry, with at least 5 years experience in a leadership role.
  • Payments Expertise: Extensive experience in the payments industry, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.
  • High-Risk Sector Experience: Proven track record working with high-risk sectors such as igaming or cryptocurrency, with a strong ability to manage associated compliance challenges.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a compliance team, fostering a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical compliance measures.
  • Communication Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively conveying compliance requirements.
