This role will ensure that the company adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across its global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the company’s compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide legal advice on a variety of compliance-related matters, including data privacy, anti-corruption, competition law, and consumer protection.
- Conduct internal compliance audits, investigations, and training to promote awareness and ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
- Work closely with business units to advise on compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Liaise with regulators and external counsel when necessary, ensuring all compliance reporting obligations are met.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
- Monitor developments in laws and regulations relevant to the e-commerce and internet industry.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 PQE, with flexibility based on the candidate’s experience.
- Prior experience in a similar in-house compliance role, particularly within the e-commerce or internet sector, will be highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of compliance issues related to data protection, anti-bribery, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to communicate complex legal and compliance concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a global or fast-paced, high-growth company is a plus.
