Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and structure new products and jurisdictions with a keen legal and regulatory perspective.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including those related to merchant services and payment solutions.
• Work closely with internal teams such as business development, marketing, and finance to ensure legal compliance and policy alignment.
• Provide thorough legal research and guidance on payments and financial services matters.
• Monitor and communicate updates on relevant laws and regulations to the legal and internal teams.

Key Requirements:

• Law degree with 6-12 years of post-qualification experience.
• Licensed to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
• Hands-on experience with card payments, either from card schemes or acquirers.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory frameworks related to payments.
• Conversational proficiency in Chinese would be a bonus in stakeholder management, but not required.
