This Singapore-based role offers the opportunity to drive compliance strategies across global markets, ensuring legal and regulatory alignment in a fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on compliance matters, focusing on global regulatory requirements, with particular emphasis on Chinese legal and regulatory practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the high-tech manufacturing space, including anti-corruption, data protection, export controls, and trade sanctions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (legal, business, operations) to establish and implement compliance programs and policies.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations in mainland China and other key jurisdictions, advising on their impact on the business.
  • Manage investigations and audits related to compliance issues and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Train and educate internal teams on compliance obligations and best practices globally.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and regulatory bodies, as needed, to ensure smooth communication and resolution of compliance matters.

Key Requirements:
  • 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with strong exposure to compliance roles within high-tech or manufacturing sectors.
  • PRC qualification is essential, with deep knowledge of Chinese legal, regulatory, and business practices.
  • Proven experience in managing global compliance programs, including a focus on regulatory frameworks and enforcement in mainland China.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across different regions.
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex compliance matters in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
