Job Description

As Global SE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a global team of Sales Engineers (SEs), while maintaining a hands-on approach. This position involves approximately 60% hands-on technical work, including direct involvement in technical solution development, customer-facing engagements, and product demonstrations. The remaining portion of the role will focus on managerial duties, such as mentoring and overseeing SE teams in the US and EU, driving team performance, and ensuring alignment with sales objectives.

You will serve as the liaison between the technical and sales teams, ensuring that products are accurately and effectively represented to potential clients. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic, startup-like environment, balancing technical expertise with strong leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Technical Work:

  • Collaborate directly with clients to identify their technical needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, and technical deep dives to highlight the product's value.
  • Work alongside the product and engineering teams to solve technical challenges, recommend product enhancements, and advocate for customer requirements.
  • Act as a technical expert during the sales cycle, addressing product-related questions and concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date on product updates, competitive trends, and industry developments to offer optimal solutions.

Management and Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically distributed team of SEs in the US and EU, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure technical and commercial objectives are aligned.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute SE strategies, including hiring, training, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, ensuring the SE team’s contributions align with revenue growth targets.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of OT/IT/Cybersecurity solutions, industrial processes, and related technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing global teams is a plus.
