Company Overview:
Our client is a leading Investment Management firm seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their esteemed team. Renowned for their broad remit and investment strategies, they are looking for a professional with exceptional M&A and corporate law expertise to enhance their corporate initiatives.

Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role is pivotal within our firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering M&A transactions, both on the buy side and sell side, and will significantly contribute to our corporate legal affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee M&A transactions across buy side and sell side, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and strategic alignment.
  • Offer expert legal counsel on corporate matters, including joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to navigate legal complexities and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and proficiently draft, review, and negotiate complex legal agreements and contracts.

Requirements:
  • 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with a strong focus on M&A and corporate law.
  • Proven track record in managing diverse M&A transactions across various industries.
  • Prior experience in an in-house legal role, particularly within private equity, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and the ability to thrive within a corporate environment.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

  • Law degree from a reputable institution.
  • Profound knowledge of corporate law and M&A regulations.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
