Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Counsel, APAC, to join our legal team based in Hong Kong. This role will support the APAC region and will handle a wide range of legal matters including general corporate commercial contracts, governance, disputes and litigation management, intellectual property, employment, real estate (retail leases), and other business-related issues. Candidates should have 3 to 6 years of PQE, with at least two years of relevant in-house experience, ideally within a retail or consumer brand MNC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support across the APAC region, advising on a variety of commercial contracts, governance, and corporate matters.
  • Manage disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
  • Handle intellectual property matters, ensuring the protection and enforcement of trademarks and other IP assets.
  • Advise on employment-related matters, including employee relations and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee real estate matters, particularly retail leasing contracts and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Support business units with risk management and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.

Key Requirements:
  • 3 to 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) with at least two years of in-house legal experience.
  • Prior experience with a retail or consumer brand MNC is highly regarded.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate commercial contracts, governance, dispute resolution, IP, employment law, and real estate (retail leases).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders across the APAC region.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in another APAC language being an advantage.
